Hi all,

Up for sale today is a seldom seen civilian variant of the well-known Smiths W10. As many of you know, the W10 was introduced as part of a contract that Smiths won to supply the army with a general service watch from 1967 - 1970. Towards the end of that period, it is assumed that Smiths was looking to offload surplus stock and thus repurposed the W10 for public sale.

The movement inside is the cal. 60466E, a 17-jewel manual movement produced in-house by Smiths. The 60466E was heavily influenced by the architecture of the Jaeger LeCoultre caliber found in the Mark XI dating back to the late ‘40s.

Condition: This example is in good vintage condition. The black dial is clean. The stainless steel case presents well with no noticeable dings or scratches. The caseback does have a superficial rash from past nato strap usage. Crown is unsigned and original. Watch was serviced in 2021, winds smoothly and keeps good time.

Additional Information:
Size: 35mm without crown, 47mm lug to lug
Year: Late 1960s - 1970
Caliber: 60466E
Box/papers: No/No
Strap: High end Bas & Lokes leather nato

I’m asking $1995 USD which will also include express shipping within CONUS. Other countries at cost. Zelle, Transferwise or bank wire only. Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions).
