This is what happens when your modern non plexi LV Submariner bounces off porcelain tiles.

But what transpired after I made a non cyclops crystal replacement request with my local AD and Rolex was even more of a shock! It was of couse explained to me by the AD that Rolex would never make this request as the watch would only be returned to me as it left the factory. However, I insisted to my AD that they make the request, and so they did.
The whole service process took more time than I expected for my initial visit to the AD, and the watch was sent back and forth to my AD from Rolex U.K. due to a few crazy Rolex service replacement requests which I declined (replacement bracelet and bezel insert). However I did finally received the watch back with a cyclops free crystal!
I think the watch looks even better now and must be quite a unique Rolex modded LV. So much so, since the service I have still never worn the watch or even removed the service stickers. Yes, the madness is real.

Cheers,
M

Did the ceramic tile shatter? Maybe this is a good post to balance those about how the floor might damage your fully ceramic watch. ;-)

Maybe?
But the tile did not have a mark on it when the LV bounced off it! However when my Ceramic SD 4000 did the same party trick and
bounced off a ceramic floor (I think) the only thing that happen to it
was a good old dent to the case.
a mark on the outer case lug (a real nice one) the bezel was not effected in the slightest. I don't think these ceramic bezels are really that fragile as they are made out to be. I have never seen any damage posted on any watch form just heard talk and lots of speculations.
I will get the scans up of the SD 4000c later and you will seen it was quite an impact in relationship to the dent left. To tell the truth its the only thing I can think off that happened to the watch, I was out on the town an think thats what happened after I arrived home. Good night but very sobering the next morning when I put my new watch back on my wrist in the bathroom!

Cheer,
M

The watch was serviced in May 2013?? So you haven't worn it for nearly 3 years?

Love the LV! 馃憤 But If I'm spending that kind of $$ on something, I'm wearing/using it!

I like it, but there is something jarring about a rolex date with no cyclops, its like your mind thinks there is something missing but cannot figure it out.
