·Just wonder everybody's stance on smartwatches these days?
I started wearing a smartwatch around 3 years ago, a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. I previously wore the Goldeneye Seamaster and a Rotary Aquaspeed. I retired my Goldeneye Seamaster and kept it stored safely with the battery removed from it.
The reason I wore a smartwatch was due to my profession in IT, as I am able to approve of multifactor authentication without having to touch my phone.
Then recently as everybody here probably knows I got the Summer Blue SMP 300M diver and I have worn that daily since I got it. I love my Summer Blue. But I still wear my smartwatch for sleep tracking and workouts. Other than that I don't often wear it when I am out and about.
I have since upgrade my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic to the Watch 8 Classic, which I seldom wear when I'm out and about.
I feel that smartwatch only function as portable wrist computer rather than an actual time piece. While I have customised my Watch 8 Classic to the point that it looks unique to me. I still prefer to wear my Summer Blue SMP 300M diver as it seems to be a part of me. I feel good when I have my Summer Blue on my wrist when I'm out and about. When I have my Watch 8 Classic on my wrist I regard it as an tool more than anything else.
What do you guys think?
