Three years ago I found this Citizen flyback chronograph on a fleamarket and got it for a very good price.
It came on an ugly bracelet and was very dirty. That may have influenced the price.
After a few shakes it started running. No really visible since it has no running second hand. But you could hear it or see it if you start the chronograph.

It had many scratches but the edges were nice and the black coating was more than okay for a watch this old. I like to leave watches in the state I find them. They have their scars so I have mine. So I left it the way it was.
But the scratched crystal always bothered me, since it made it hard to see the colorful dial and hands.

Recently I got a nice old crystal press and found out that Sternkreuz offers a replacement crystal for the Citizen. So I decided to give it a try.

Sternkreuz crystal XMF 307.878 (Citizen 54-50440) came even with the gasket.

Since I always liked the look of the watch with a strap like in this vintage ad, I tried to find something like that.

That's quite a unique design, and I admit being rather fascinated by the end result. Great find!

Dibs! That green dial is great with a cool layout, and the watch with strap screams 1970s. Nice find, and good job with the crystal
