A lot of great looking SM300's. Here's mine - box was purchased afterwards and I don't think it's correct.

the Lume colour is stunning.

Omega did do a version with this hand style.

Check out my post...https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread....mega-Seamaster-300-including-Military-watches pics 18 and 19.

Same as usual

Where did u get this info ?
Is anything confirmed or done together with omega ?

I doubt e.g your bezel order

Why should a later production military have a mk2 bezel with a non serif one which is way older than the watch ?

Also the dauphine hands i doubt in 165024, only cuz it is shown in Italian catalog it isn’t true as we find also an ed white with short subdial indexes and base 1000 bezel in catalog which is nonsense
Also during 14577 they swapped to candle stick hands, so switching back to worse readable hands makes absolutely no sense

For 6 years, Jack’s SM300 research has been a goto spot for SM300 wannabes. For Myself and hundreds of others.
Is it perfect .... no. But it answers many questions and can save many newbies countless mistakes.

Silly to nitpick his fine, FREE, research. Don’t like it @Vintagewtchzilla. Write your own.

Why being immediately pissed when one asks legitimate questions?

I didn’t say i don’t like it nor something else ...

This was mine, had to trade it unfortunately. All original, including naiad crown.

I agree with some of the comments here. Extremely well balanced and less aggressive compared to the BTs. But the BTs in my opinion are still better in terms of looks all around, taking into account they are divers.

Missing it already though. Maybe one day another will join again the collection.

I now own the watch with Dauphine hands in pic 18 of Jacks analysis of SM300s, and out of interest decided to get an extract of the archives from Omega - I was delighted to find that the watch was delivered in 1963 to Italy, so therefore co-incides perfectly with the catalogue.

Hello @Vintagewtchzilla,

I have been away and offline for a few days hence my delayed response.

The intro to my post explains the sources for the information. I also stated that I am not an expert and cannot guarantee the information contained is 100% correct.

@Dave.charlton has responded to your hands question.

My post will soon be rendered obsolete by the forthcoming book by OF members Ash (@Dash1) and Kim (@kox).....

‘A Collectors Guide to the Seamaster 300. The Vintage Years 1957 - 1970.’

I am sure that they will be pleased to receive any positive information you can offer them.

Jack
