Looks brand new to be vintage, no?

 

More likely a watch put together from NOS parts.

A vintage reference but not entirely vintage, in that the parts are new genuine parts mated with a vintage movement.

Nothing wrong with doing this its just not a truly vintage watch.

 

So you can't expect this watch to be really from the 60s in this mint NOS condition?

 

VERY, VERY unlikely.

 

Either the seller got fooled when he bought it or he's trying to fool the next buyer.

 

That's another WatchCo special I reckon--dial, hands, bezel modern Luminova replacements and NOS case. Popular in their own right but not vintage, IMO. More like an homage.

marcus at watchco sells them for A$ 3500 . and there is always the chance, that you can negotiate with him.....

Last time I was in there (about a month ago) they had no 300 cases left and weren't sure when they could get more.
I certainly glad I got mine when I did, the price rise in the last year or so is scary.

 

Odd - cases are still available - I just bought one last week....
