Amazing. Prices for vintage Seamaster 300 and parts are going crazy. One or two years ago you could get a complete vintage case with bezel for less.

You are right. In July 2014 I bought this one from a reliable dealer for 2.0k euros.

I am afraid those days are gone. With the prices of Rolex going thru the roof more collectors are getting to appreciate the Omega and Longines.

I'm no expert but it seemed like a very nice patinaed example.

Guess it's time to reveal that I had the winning bid.

It's going into my parts drawer for now. Bought it for spares just in case! You never know when you might need one.

No way! I didn't know. What makes it a fake? So I can tell the seller to get a refund.

Damn, I was in the lead until the last 30 seconds. Didn't have a good sense of the true value, so hesitant to put in a really high bid.

For about that price I got a similar bezel, brand new, and everything around... and it was less than 2 years ago.

Well, the times they are a changing but that SM300 including the bits and bobs was a steal at 2k already two years ago @uwsearch . Fair play to you that you kept it.

That insane price I got this whole watch cheaper than what a bezel sells for today only 3-4 years ago. Use to go to the Alameda antique fair they had once a month in the bay area miss that since I moved I passed on a vintage Omega 300 for 800 bucks the lume was missing on the hands was not sure legit until I saw it at a NAWCC mart the next month wished I would of bought it for 800 the guy who had it for sell at the NAWCC mart wanted a lot more. I ended up with the one below a few years later when deals use to show up at the MWR PX when Jack at IWW sold about 5-7 of them at the same time all serviced miss those great deals.
