On the other hand, there are white Speedmasters readily available in different OBs around the world. Enter, pay and leave with it. No need to be a loyal costumer, or a costumer at all. No reserve, no deposit. As any other normal product in any shop.

You’ve made my point.

Then it sounds to me as if you need to call your boutique. Failing that decision, you need to purchase it from one of those other authorized dealers at retail and cancel your purchase with your boutique.

If this statement makes your point then it seems to be an issue your boutique has and perhaps not something that represents omega as a company.

When Omega isn’t delivering the product to their OBs - it’s a Corporate issue.

I didn't realize you were in the Seattle area! Indeed they did, it was pleasant to look at.

Sounds like some Omega boutiques are playing a game that others aren't. And/or that the supply to US markets are not meeting the demand as they are in EU markets.

I’m from Portlandish, but eat at John Howie a few times a year.

Portlandish here as well, just on the North side of the river. Good to meet another Portlandish.

Not really sure what you mean it’s a watch that’s only been released and they’re being pumped out in huge numbers as is evident by the number of owners here and the pile currently being scalped. These aren’t an LE, they’re going to keep making them so the price is going to stabilise before too long but in the mean time short of sending people to the gulag for flipping them there isn’t much you can do.
True that haha, just me being frustrated that it isn’t as available as the regular black dial ones. With time things will stabilise for sure. Perhaps I’ve read too many stories of people having to put down a deposit to get in the waitlist, just not a practice that I personally likes

I am certain that anyone hoarding these white dial Speedys thinking they’re going to profit long term are going to get their fingers burned and a couple of flippers will eventually be left holding the bag when supply catches up, so that’s some small joy to look forward to amount with your watch delivery 😀

Tysons or Tiny Jewel Box? The latter is pretty new as an OB and good chance Tysons gets stock first.

OB Costa Mesa informed me that there is approximately a 1.5 year wait list for the white dial. It's quite incredible! I wasn't in the market for one, but to hear that really surprised me! If you are patient, one will be available in any strap configuration you want. Just not now. Some folks are willing to pay over retail just so they can be one of the first, but realistically, it is not a LE piece. It will a standard offering in their catalogue.

Funny I know one OB that had 26 requests on day 1 of release with only 5 watches.
Demand always outweighs reasonable delivery not just in watches.

Think people calling Rolex are exaggerating a touch. Rolex wouldn’t have had the 5 on day 1

At the local online marketplace in Austria, i am already starting to see offers at the list price. My guess would be that soon flippers will lose interest and the watches will be delivered to proper owners.
Just be patient, call your OB and ask whats going on.

In related news, a car story!
----------
Back in 2014 I really really wanted an F83 BMW M4. They had been announced for US sale and dealerships were taking deposits, orders, etc ... But delivery times were unknown (or faked) and many dealers were charging ADMs. ROLEXERS!

Luckily I had done a previous custom order ("individual") so I had a contact at BMWUSA and asked her what was going on.

She said the new generation production & release process was long, the factory in Regensburg was just ramping up production, it was going to take the full year before the factory reached capacity, and shipments to the US would start in small batches with the first batch of 44 coming in a few months despite what dealers may be promising. Only 44 in the first batch for the whole USA!

With that info, eventually I was able to find a dealer with an allocation (production number!) to one of those 44 cars willing to sell it for MSRP.

BUT, as it came to production time, and time for me to pay, suddenly the price jumped by 10% despite me having it in writing it wouldn't. 🤬

After many calls, another dealer stepped in to save the day, and my order .... but he told me the original dealer salesguy asked him: "why aren't you charging him a huge ADM? These things are rare right now!"

9 months later, you could buy one for a discount at most dealerships nationally because the factory had fully ramped up.
---------
I guess my point is, my OB in Zurich told me to give them 3 weeks notice when I stop by this fall and they'll have a white speedy waiting for me.

Has anyone gotten their Tesla Roadster yet? Despite paying a deposit?
