Slightly early minute counter and length of lume (Speedy 2022)

Hi all,
Just bought a speedy SS 2022 (3861). New to the club. Wondering how long the lume should last on these watches - seems to fade quite quickly although super bright after exposing to a torch for 30secs or so.

Secondly - when the chronograph is running I notice that the minute counter moves at around 59 secs rather than at the 1 minute is this normal?

The model year 2022 doesn't really define what watch model/movement you have since the 1861 and 3861 were still available at that time. I have an model with an 1861 movement, the minute counter does appear to move just slightly before the chronology hand hits the 1 min mark. Whether thats normal or not who knows as I have not given it any further thought. As far as lume goes, a bright light will get it glowing brightly, but it does fade to a low glow fairy quickly, but stays readable in the dark for much longer.

It usually takes about one second for the minute counter hand to advance to the next minute mark. It might start to move at one second to the minute, but they usually complete the change quite accurately. You may just have to get accustomed to your 3 minute egg cooking for 4 minutes.

That's how the lume works naturally.
Though I have noticed there is one particular bedside lamp in my outfit, that has a bulb in it which yields an almost equivalent result to direct sunlight.

The minute register sounds like it's working within tolerance and exactly the same as mine. As it's a completely mechanical action it is naturally going to have a degree of a progressive nature to it. To that, you need to ask yourself when would you prefer the motion to commence?
A little later?
If so, how much later?
Then to what practical effect?

If you want an absolutely precise operation then a LCD type digital watch readout is going to be your only option.
An X-33 or Casio watch can help in that regard.

Enjoy that beauty of a watch😀

Using my powers of observation just looking at the lume shot.
It's a 3861😀
