    Hi everyone,
My watch journey started last year, so I'm still fairly new in the community.
I purchased my skx013 brand new last month, and I'm thinking of getting an old skx015 as a kind of pair. There's one reputable seller on eBay as far as I have searched, restoredwatches, who has a few on auction.
Would it be a good idea to get 2 watches that are so similar? Also, how long should I wait before pulling the trigger on the skx015, now that SKX's are a thing of the past?

Thank you for reading! IMG_20190921_192901_805.jpg s-l500.jpg

I suspect quite a few forum members have multiples of any number of brands. For you, one on a bracelet and one on rubber or a nato might be a good start for what will, very likely, become an addiction. There are all kind of cool bracelets, natos and straps of all sorts available.
My self, I have two skx173's configured as above as well a few other similar Sekos, not to mention the Speedmasters.
If your not taking food out of the mouth of babies or defaulting on the mortgage go for it. Can't comment on the seller. 20190402_102925.jpg 20181019_123831.jpg 20180122_142306.jpg 20180313_072951.jpg 20180201_102213.jpg

Thanks for the advice! I'll be sure to differentiate the watches enough, so they don't compete too much. Awesome collection by the way

if you're new to the hobby why would u initially buy the same watch with a different bezel inlay?

seiko has so many different choices if you love the brand. live a little.

I just purchased an 007 k2 to go with my 009.
Beware the k’s and J’s are rapidly disappearing and p’s are starting to hit the market. These are Chinese made ones, that normally don’t leave China.

I should pick up a 013. Never seen the Pepsi mid size before.

It's a kind of logical way to try out vintage, without taking too much of a gamble. Plus, I've tried on a lot of the Seiko divers, and this is the only one that I tried that fit me comfortably.

I'll definitely look out for those! I'm now thinking of getting the entire collection: skx013, skx015 and the skx017, the orange dial.

Did the SKX015 ever officially exist? Although the model is listed in watch sleuth, I think it’s strange that I haven’t seen any mentioned/reviewed by any publication that officially reviewed an SKX013. Surely if they mention the 13, they would have mentioned the 15 since it would be more collectible given its rarity?

I’ve seen SKX015’s for sale every now and then but they seem to be SKX013’s fitted with a 4205 insert. The size of the lume pip gives it away.

The only midsized pepsi I sport is a Seiko 5 skin diver. Unlike the SKX015, it is not listed on watch sleuth, but it actually exists in the metal.

I mean, personally, i would probably venture away and try something new that is less similar to what you already own - but if you love it, then go for it!
