I’m still on the hunt for a daily beater. There’s the discontinued SKX 013 (38mm…I have smaller wrists) or the new 5 with the updated movement. SKX is sitting at $305 vs $110 firm price. That’s a $200 difference. Leaning the Seiko 5. I’m not a diver, but I feel like I might be missing out on a classic if I don’t go with the SKX. Is the SKX worth the extra $$ to have in the beginning collection?

Check out Orient for divers. They have a bunch of nice entry level divers for just over $100 like the SKX used to be. Don't get too caught up in the SKX hype.

I've had and sold a few SKX's. I liked them alright, but I just found them a pain to get wound and set. Honestly, if you like the look, I'd get a 5KX; they may not be as cool as a neo-vintage Seiko but the movements run better in my experience.

I have small wrists and this is my SKX013. The diameter is fine but I find the depth to deep/thick and the watch is pretty heavy IMO.

Looking for a comfortable diver style wearer, I’m impressed with the Dan Henry 1975 which is comfortable, lightweight and inexpensive. The bracelet is comfortable too.

I pick this one up for $86. Impulse buy but I like the black dial and red day and second hand. Should make a decent daily beater for the price.
