I ordered the 36mm version of this Hamilton, but the description was incorrect and I received the 43mm version. Debating if I want to go ahead and keep the watch or let it go for a smaller version 馃榾 Would love some feedback!

First: I really think it's up to the wearer and what they enjoy/feel comfortable with. What other people think is just exactly that.

So with that preface, clarifying that my opinion is my opinion alone, I tend to think that if the lugs are extending beyond the wrist, the watch is too large for that wrist. I think watches look best when the bracelet or strap is clearing wrapping around the wrist, not dropping straight down because the lugs are hanging out in space. For me, 42mm is my limit, assuming a reasonable lug-to-lug distance. My Hamilton Murph is 52mm lug to lug, and that is my limit. For reference, my wrist is 191mm. The Murph is almost too big for me.

That watch on your wrist seems a little large, overwhelming your wrist.

The more I look at it, the more I wonder about the Murph. It wears large for a 42mm.

So I have another Hamilton that I am obsessed with - fits about like the Murph on you - I think it looks great! Darker dials I think wear a bit smaller.

The Hamilton looks way too big on your wrist.
What was the problem, do they make this watch in two different sizes?

They make the watch in a few sizes - from 36mm,40mm, to this the 43mm. I've always been drawn to the design - but could only find the 43mm version. I saw this listed on Ebay with the description noting that it was 36mm. So I jumped on it and when confirming lug size with the seller ( after the purchase ) it came to light that is was incorrectly described.

Looks like a nice watch, I can see why you like it! It does look a bit too big to me on the NATO but I think you could get away with it on the leather. Especially with a long sleeve (if it would fit under). But if long sleeves aren鈥檛 your thing or if you鈥檙e always going to worry it鈥檚 too big probably best get the smaller one.

The 36 in this form factor would be what I would go after- if I recall some retailers marketed it as a ladies watch- which I always love because it keeps the dudes with insecurity away from these perfectly sized watches.
If you have to ask, then you have your doubts. I would return it and get the one you want.

The lugs are too long for your wrist. Yeah, go for the 36mm.

I like it. The large size, white dial and skinny wire chrome lugs make it indiscreetly stylish and works well with smaller wrist. Wear it with confidence!

It's on the large side, but I think you can get away with it. In the end, only you will really care, nobody else notices.

I think it's too large. Looks to have slid down too close to your wrist joint.

I would go with the 36mm, but agree with the leather strap opposed to a nato comment.

Actually, it looks ridiculously large on your wrist, especially with all that extra baggage with the nato.

Thanks for the input - I'm feeling like it's just too big 馃榾
