Sinners on the Omega Forum. Imagine that!
This is why you haven’t seen me here (regularly) in over two years. The Sinn EZM 10 ticked so many of my boxes, I sold my other watches and became interested in firearms. But I’m slowly returning to the watch fold.
This is my daily wearer, and still looks like a safe queen. Tegimented titanium case and bracelet is superbly durable and scratch resistant. Takes a 10x loupe to see marks.

This Sinn 103 st Ou is a weird iteration of the Sinn 103 branch--the old-school spiral on the dial renders much of the Valjoux 7750 movement moot. Basically, it's a tri-compax hidden behind a mono-compax dial. Only 200 were produced.

How is it a tri compax like dial? All the center does is give you an extended tachemeter for readings last 60 seconds. These existed on many brands.

A compax dial would have chrono minute and normally hour.

That's not what he said...read it again. 😉

😉 I should have said "uni compax" in stead of "mono compax" though. It's a tri compax masquerading as a uni compax.

Thanks! This 103 has become one of my daily beaters. The only downside to it, is that the Valjoux 7750 makes it such a chonker, that it doesn't wear well on a NATO strap. It sticks out so much, that it's hard to keep under my cuff.

Been eyeing this for a while and decided to pick it up while in Singapore for business. Really thrilled with this watch!
Very nice. I've always liked these.

^^ Nice! I came very close to making one of those my first new watch in 30+ years a while back, but went with a Sinn diver instead. Since I deal with a lot of copper in the roofing business that one definitely grabs my attention.

Thanks @Foo2rama, I will wear my cheap navitimer with pride 😉
I will wear my REAL Navitimer with pride.
FIFY

Technically the current Breitling Navitimer is not the heir to the original classic 806 Navitimer, they only have the name and even now they are doing non flight watches as Navitimers... Sinn owns the rights to the watch and the dial design.

Sinn bailed out Breitling in the 70s correct? Roughly around that time I believe.

Brietling went bankrupt in 78 and sold parts of the company off to different bidders. Helmet Sinn purchased the rights to the Navitimer, the tooling and spare parts. The tooling is currently owned by someone else though. Until the mid 80’s Sinn produces the 806 with a different name on the dial. In 88? The resurrected Brietling sued for the watch back and ended up with the name only. The dial design stayed with Sinn, about this time the first 903 came out. I believe the lemania powered one was the first but I may be wrong.

This is why the Sinns have the same dial design as the 806 and Brietlings do not. In the past decade they updated the watch to have the inner bezel moved by the 9 o clock crown to improve water resistance over having the bezel move the slide rule.

Tritium lemania (omega 861 18 jewel marked 17) powered 903 circa @1990
