I love the EZM 13 but just to heavy for me.

This would have made a nice Flieger IMHO as well - and with 10 or 20 bar WR probably saved some gramms as well. The 103 ST Sa is about 10 gramms less heavy. I am wearing it on an Isofrane. That's 126g for the combo and I'm feeling comfortable.

Watches of Knightsbridge have a rare Sinn EZM1 3H in their November 3rd auction. Lot 147. With Sinn box but not Ti bracelet.
Sold GBP3600 hammer price (GBP4464 incl premium & VAT) for what looks like a fair price.

Got my Sinn in September. Form and function married. Looking at all these SINNs w straps has me thinking about swapping out the H link for maybe a vintage leather look.

This is a youtube video showing the Sinn 104 range put together by their Australian importer. It shows the 5 dial variants and colours in different light conditions. The blue dial does look nice.

Regarding Pilot watch straps and your belief that the design was aimed to shield the pilot or navigator from extreme temperatures, you are very right!
Perhaps most cold in everyday use and there is some extra information in this article where the author states that the design was also to protect the watch from the pilot's perspiration!

Did spend some wonderful years as a fighter pilot before starting to fly commercial jets and I can assure you that after some training sessions you were really, really wet!

Must say that I do like the different models of the Sinn brand that I must confess are new to me!

Here is a one for the Sinn fans, which I am owing a nice Tigmented 756 chronograph.

The NASM holds the Sinn watch worn by Alan Eustace that he wore during his record breaking free fall jump from 25 miles lasting 15 minutes. His watch can be seen here in the NASM online collection.

I had the great opportunity to spend two hours with the curator of one of the NASM collections this past week and as we walked the floor she pointed out Alan Eustace's free fall suit along with his Sinn watch.

Here is his watch as seen online in the NASM collection.

Here is the suit I photographed yesterday and the watch on display.

Here is Alan Eustace's record setting jump for those not familiar with is accomplishment.

There is a documentary on Netflix about this called 14 Minutes from Earth. You can see the Sinn on his right wrist during prep for the first launch at 51:09 and again at 1:00:26 and 1:08:19 during prep for the aborted and then successful final launches. Below is a still, sorry about the dust particles on my laptop screen 🤦.

Well the Sinn wasn't exactly heavily featured in the documentary and I didn't see him wearing it on the ground as his everyday watch. Actually I don't know what the purpose of the watch was other than perhaps as a back-up, and, given how restrictive movement would have been in his pressure suit, how easy it would have been to read.
