The torching of my collection continues as my Sinn 809 is now up for sale. A detailed review of these watches can be found in this excellent Worn&Wound article: https://wornandwound.com/affordable-vintage-sinn-809-aut/ The 809 is one of the thinnest rated 200m rated divers I've come across, at about 9.5mm thick. An especially cool aspect of the watch is that the lume for the hour markers are painted on the inside of the crystal, instead of the dial. This watch has the signed Sinn crown, along with an early style Sinn bracelet (which has some stretch to it). The bracelet integrates well with the case of the watch and completes the look very well. I'm confident that the bracelet goes with the watch, because the dial is also the earlier variant (with "T Swiss Made T") at the bottom and has tritium lume. The version being offered today was made for firefighters, and comes with its box and accompanying papers (including the COSC guarantee). On the dial, you'll see the European symbol for firefighters. Beating inside of it is a COSC certified ETA 2892-A2 movement. Service history is unknown, but it's performing very well. If you ever wanted to get it serviced, I think most owners of this watch send it to RGM if in the United States, or Sinn directly. Certainly still under the radar, and a really really awesome watch. Condition I can't find any serious flaws with the watch. Only thing is the bracelet has some stretch to it. Besides that the condition is superb. I sized the bracelet to my 7" wrist and it's kinda tight because I don't like it when they move. There are a couple extra links (see pictures), so I'd be glad to go to my guy and adjust them for you before I ship. Otherwise, you can do it but just be warned depending on your wrist size you might not be able to put it on immediately until you add links on! Price I had some trouble pricing it, as it's one of the nicest examples I've seen with its corresponding box and papers. I'd like to ask $1,800 with FedEx Overnight Shipping and see where that takes us. Offers are always welcome. As I'm selling to fund something else, I'd like the sale to be final. So please ask any questions, etc. up front -- I'm responsive and always happy to provide any information that I can. I’ve handled this beauty in person. A truly unique and spectacular watch, not to mention it’s condition.
bump -- I know I turned down a couple offers from international buyers because I was worried about packaging but I found a way that makes me feel comfortable, so opening it up to anyone in the world
This is an absolute gem of a watch. Full kit, cool tritium, thin profile.... wish i was in an ideal financial position to pick it up. GLWS.
