Anyone know if / where I could get hold of an OEM Silver Snoopy award strap? Asked at Omega but (perhaps understandably) they only want to sell it in connection with the Snoopy, being a limited edition.

Jean Rousseau makes the straps for many Omegas, including the Silver Snoopy - they're apparently available now.

I'm supposedly #17 on the list at an OB, and I probably should see if they got one and how many people passed up on it before they got a taker, and whether they'll get another one if the first one sold.

Well in the case of Rousseau it's not a "Silver Snoopy" strap but an identical one sold to you without a deployant or Omega branding on the underside etc.

I have heard that the official Silver Snoopy strap (which it should be said is not marked as such) will be available through Omega Boutiques if you really want to pay the huge premium for a small "Omega" embossed in the leather underside of the strap though 😉

Omega did a great job at Basel 2016 ... after what i have seen from the novelties: The Price of the Snoopy will not drop for one Dollar 😝

One of these is currently available in England for 'in excess of £11,000'. Happily for me, I don't like it at all - though I enjoy reading all the hype and nonsense on here about it - so no temptation! Only Speedies with a black dial are real Speedies!

I was soooo lucky getting mine i have wanted a speedy since my dad got one in the 80`s and i felt very fortunate to pick it up from the OB the problem now is that i think i like the ck2998 even more. This watch world i have landed in may start cost me alot of money
