    Hi Good Day to all of you..I'm just a newbie in this site and finally i found on site.
    I have some question to our Gurus, since omega introduce the Si14 is patek part of this development? samething with rolex?

    I doubt either would be, Omega's parent company Swatch Group owns ETA, Valjoux and Lemania, along with more mid to high end than any other maker, frankly I doubt they'd need Rolex or Patek's help, as they're the flagship brand of the largest watchmaking group in the world.

    Rolex developed their parachrom blue hairspring totally independently from Omega/ETA's development of their Si-14. Both have anti-magnetic qualities, but for some reason, the Si-14 has greater shock resistance and hence is more stable over a long period of time, from what I understand. If you google the two terms, you'll find comparisons between the two.
