Many beautiful pieces in this thread but i'll jump in anyway with this piece, at only 21years old not close to vintage? but for someone who spent many hours cycling both on and off road it was a godsend.
A bit on the heavy side but being easily fitted in the saddle bag and able with the APS film to produce a reasonable image it was a constant companion.
Mr Google shows that film is still available, tempted to give it a shot 🤔

I do. I am one of those people complaining about collectors driving up prices.

Love those, great shots.

An old photo.

Still have most of these somewhere in the home.

This thread is stirring to get some of them out for a spin again.

Thank you. I just got it this summer - well the spring, but sent it off the Harry Fleenor for a CLA (4 month wait). Having fun with it so far.

Good for street photography too. The shutter is quiet and you can shoot side way.

I was just watching a Vivian Maier documentary today, she used one of these as well. I've always wanted to give one a try.

In other film camera news, I just got a long anticipated Minolta CLE in the mail from Tokyo this afternoon. One of the smallest M mount bodies out there, TTL light meter, aperture priority, etc. Been looking for a smaller rig for travelling/daily carry and am hoping this might fit the bill.

Pictures soon...

Yes, it so happens I have a (borrowed) Hasselblad 503, and that thing is startling loud compared to the whisper quiet shutter of the Rolleiflex. The first time I tripped the shutter of the 503, I nearly jumped.

I have several other vintage cameras in my collection, just not any photos of them... mostly older SLRs, a couple rangefinders, an SX70, a few Diana toy cameras, etc. I do have a Wista 4x5, not sure how vintage that is considered, but it looks the part like all wooden field cameras do.

Yes, Vivian Maier was one of my inspirations for getting the Rolleiflex. That and I have a chest freezer full of expired film, that includes a lot of 120 that I want to shoot up. Was looking at used Hasselblad, and for some reason I went in the direction of Rollleiflex. I think Vivian influenced that decision, and the ability to shoot in the street hand held with it. It's more compact, and much more silent. I have to say, shooting square format is quite a challenge for me. My first two rolls I have developed so far are sort of meh. I need practice!

For carrying a medium format camera I prefer 7x7 folders. Compact and even Rangefinder coupled.

A few others I've spoken to prefer those MF folders too. I had (for a while) a 6x9 Zeiss Ikon, but I never shot any film trough it. I still might have it actually, I'll have to check in my basement. But at the time, I was not very interested in it. I'm still quite amazed looking throught the viewfinder of the Rolleiflex.

My first Ducati...camera that is.

Sometimes called a “mini Leica”...this little Ducati Sogno is tiny. It was only produced for a few years during the 50’s in the same Milan factory that produced the famous motorcycles. Now on to the hunt for some additional lenses...yes, it has interchangeable lenses. The 35mm lens on mine is collapsable and about the diameter of a Quarter.
