That is THE best condition I have ever seen.

And it’s solid gold not plated. Not many around.

Had JLC Master Control Geographic before (white/silver dial) - something was not 100% right. Just recently had blue Polaris Chronograph - loved it, although never in my life used the chrono (on any chrono watch). Had Omega World Time - but was too big @ 43mm and too thick.

Accidentally had a chance to get this limited rare edition, which is a little bit combination of above (Polaris, Geographic, Worldtimer, just no chrono) and it was a no-brainer for me. Thanx to possibility to change between bracelet-rubber-alligator within 5 seconds without any tools this is a good candidate for one-watch (I refrain from using word "collection" when it's only one 😉).

Do any of you have hands-on experience with the current Polaris Q9008480?

I tried one on in the boutique. The urge to run out the door with it was nearly overwhelming 😁. The quality can be felt with a moment’s touch.

Just discovered this one tonight at my mother-in-law’s house…it belonged to my father-in-law (deceased) and now my mother-in-law is deceased as of about a week ago. My wife and her sister are going through their mother’s things and they handed me this watch…they want it to go to our son, Max, who is 22 and will be graduating from Ohio State in about two weeks. From a brief investigation regarding the watch, it appears to be a 3041 alarm watch with a 10k GF case from circa 1960. It’s not running but I have a few independent watchmakers here in Cincinnati that could look at it…I’m estimating a repair/COA could be well over $1,000 depending on what’s needed…

Condolences on your loss, @Mad Dog.

That model was called the Golden Heritage by LeCoultre back in the 1960’s.

Also called “Memovox Alarm G” in other advertisements of the period.

More information on this model can be found on this thread from Watchprosite.

Beautiful watches.

Very good, Gator…thank you, sir! 👍

LATE ENTRY: This is an interesting informational journey…I had no idea that LeCoultre was a division of Longines-Wittnauer in that era.

I had no idea that LeCoultre was a division of Longines-Wittnauer in that era.
But this “Longines-Wittnauer” was a U.S. company that imported watches from all 4 companies. I don’t know if the company was owned by the factories or by an independent US owner (like Norman Morris for Omega).
