Dibs on the Solar Aqua. These are a lovely piece of Canadiana. My grandmother worked at Eaton's for many years and I still have fond memories of the Eaton's boxes underneath the gift wrapping on Christmas.
I’ve had a couple during my years collecting and have always loved their aesthetic. Very jealous of the omega constellations on this thread! A two tone example might have to go on the “to buy list” haha. Here’s my only one left a beautiful Longines Conquest 9000.
Another one of mine, a 1964 168.004 Pie Pan hidden crown Connie.
I seem to acquire gold furniture watches, it is a kind of compulsion perhaps. Shown here in a shot taken by Mitka the UK watchmaker who has just fettled it back to health. I highly recommend his services:
That is unusual, I would have expected a gold AML to match the other furniture, but it looks pretty early so is perhaps follows different rules to the later 50s and 60s stuff.
Just couldn't make your mind up huh? I've been there.
Absolutely spot on.
Couldn’t decide which to get, went for the silver dial and then thought I should have got the other. @janice&fred suggested I should get them both.
Still can’t decide which to wear.
My wife’s watch. It was her dads watch that was a gift from his company in the early 70’s. We had it serviced by Omega a few years ago. I think it came out beautifully.
