Bought my very first Omega recently (or actually, my very first nice watch) and I’m very happy to join the club with this Sapphire Sandwich 3861!

New Sapphire. I wanted the watch for all the reasons they're cool but honestly secretly was in the "it's a bit boring" camp. However, after wearing it for a week I'm loving it way more than I thought I would. Clean, crisp, easy to read.

This is my first Omega - new 3861 with hesalite front windshield bought at an AD one week ago. I have wanted a moon watch my entire adult life since hearing about this watch's history when I was in college. For 3 decades I found every reason to justify not spending that much on something that my Timex could do, then my Citizen could do, then my phone could do. I don't know if the waiting has anything to do with it, but after a week on my wrist I have no regrets with what I spent and no complaints about winding. One day (hopefully not too soon) this will be my son's, ...but now I gotta start thinking about a Seamaster because I have 2 boys. Reading posts on this forum answered many of my questions in my weeks of research before making the purchase, so thanks everyone! I have been running some tests on the chronograph and noting observations on the accuracy over the past week, so I will be posting what I've learned on some of the other threads.

Thanks. Speedy 50th anniversary bracelet.

Did you have to make any adjustments to the bracelet? Or does it fit just fine as is?

Just a thinner 1.6mm spring bar. Some may say not to, but I think the case is light enough as long you use OEM spring bars for peace of mind.

Did you say "just"?
OEM or otherwise, they're still 1.6mm and I wouldn't advise it to others.
