That’s odd. My PO 2500 has been submitted to Omega/New Jersey, via an authorized dealer, twice for service. Both times I requested an orange-to-black bezel swap, and both times Omega flatly refused. They said the serial number deemed my watch should have an orange bezel. And that was that.
I found the orange bezel a bit tough to live with on a daily basis, and I had some buyer remorse. Thankfully, we (the watch and I) have since sort of met in the middle - it is quite faded now, much less “in your face”, and I have grown accustomed and very attached to it.

 

This was quite a few years ago. Like 10+ years. I think Omega was more lax back in the day. Perhaps they're following Rolex's lead in being more draconian with policies and procedures.

Both very comfortable, versatile and in my opinion very different (style- and movement-wise) watches, in order to justify having both in my possession (i am rather a "one-watch guy").
