Thanks! Got it last year with a pretty worn down case/ bezel. I was lucky enough to find a NOS case replacement on EBay for a great price, i knew i had to go for it as parts for these don’t come by too often. I only wear it for special occasions now, and enjoy every second of it when i do. By far the most comfortable/ light weight Seamaster I’ve ever owned, a true pleasure on the wrist! 👍🏼

This is a really cool story, and it's awesome to see the care you've taken with this watch. Does it spark many conversations when you wear it- and can we get a wrist shot?

-Also, welcome to the forum! 👍

Thank you! I don’t really hang out with watch enthousiasts, but it certainly has garnered quite a few compliments from friends and colleagues. I brought it to my watchmaker an hour ago to get a new movement installed (a NOS thermocompensated calibre 1441) so i won’t be able to provide a wrist shot just yet. That being said, I’ll be more than happy to share one once i get it back. Thanks for the kindness and I appreciate the welcome, looking forward to seeing many fun Omegas on here! 👍🏼

Some threads should never die, and this is one of them.

I still absolutely love the depth and subtlety of this dial, so here's a shadowed shot highlighting the tones and sandwich while I pour myself a second cup of coffee. But-- what I really want to see is a whole bunch of pictures of the new no date seamaster! Can anyone oblige?

Oh- and other seamasters. 👍
i do like this one. esp. the layered dial, reminds me of Panerai. very nice

Enjoying the mesh
How is the mesh on this? I also have an SMPc and am toying with the idea of the OEM mesh

If it's the OEM bracelet, it's a one size firs most. Somewhat of a clunky design which doesn't adjust, so if you're in between sizes, will never fit correctly

Easiest way to see if works is try an eBay knockoff. Tried it and thought it might work since I liked the look, then bought one through Omega and wasn't much difference. After wearing it a few times, didn't work for me so sold it to another forum member who loves it Have a 7 in wrist and was in between sizes, he had a 7 3/8 in wrist, worked for him.

If you're in the US, happy to send you the ebay one to try out for the price of shipping since it's just laying around and have no need for it anymore.

Thanks for the offer! But, I was interested in how you feel about the SMPc itself on mesh. I've seen the newer SMP divers on the mesh but haven't seen many people rocking the SMPc on a mesh

I personally think it looks good. I went through a brief period of not really caring for the mesh (I really like traditional bracelets), but I don't really get the hate for it or idea that it's just a phase when sharkmesh is still relatively popular.

I originally wanted to buy a Breitling Superocean Heritage 42 because of the mesh bracelet and lusted after it for a while but just never pulled the trigger.

At the same time, when the NTTD came out, I actually did not like it because of the mesh bracelet. Then the 60th Anniversary James Bond edition came out and I tried it on as I passed by the boutique and somehow the mesh made the watch (for me). Then I started to fall in love with the dark tones of the NTTD and am looking to pick one up in a few months 🤣

Everything comes full circle 😅

I guess I'm in the same place but with the current no date Seamaster.

I do understand though, the people that have issues with these bracelets fitting properly, because that is a real issue.

I tried on the small size bracelet for the NTTD and it fit me perfectly

For reference, I was in between the smallest setting and the 2nd to smallest setting on the regular size mesh, and on the small size, I was on the middle of the 7 holes

I also tried on the new no-date black Seamaster and I must say, it is a beauty!

I think all of the new no-date mesh Seamaster models are stunning, you can't go wrong with any of them TBH.

It's a perfect fit imo. I think the current gen looks best on rubber, the smpc on mesh and the originals on the bond bracelet.

I never watched Sea Hunt - I imagine Lloyd Bridges wore a variety of dive watches, so a Seamaster 300 makes sense
