These summer blues are just such special dials. the way they interact with light; how bright and visible the lume is- the sharpness of the hands- they're just absolutely fantastic.

Best of luck with a hard decision.

Thanks. I love the POs but after wearing this one again, I think the most prudent choice would be to let go of the blue PO.

Brought out my old friend today for a stroll. I'm on the verge of selling it, but after putting it on today, I'm getting cold feet. It's between keeping this or the blue PO 43.5mm. (I also have the PO in black, the Worldtimer and the AT Skyfall - I feel it's unnecessary redundance but it's too hard to part with any of them).

I wouldn’t be able to get rid of this one. Was planning on getting one myself, but opted for a blue Tudor FXD instead and put the difference in my down payment fund.

Among others, I have two DIVER 300M's, (blue & white) two PLANET OCEANS, (black & white / orange) two PELAGOS. (black & blue) No way I am selling any of them and recommend that you keep both of yours. They may both be blue, although a very different blue, the size difference eliminates the redundancy IMO.

It's definitely staying and so is the blue PO. So it's the black PO 8900 that's going to the chopping block because this is the other one I couldn't bring myself to let go of:

I think this is the right choice. the one you are wearing right now Is already a classic, and likely to become timeless. It remains to be seen if the 75th anniversary watches become Timeless classics or specialty Curiosities, but even as a specialty curiosity there is likely to be decent future demand.

I’m on a never ending quest to get a nice, accurate shot of this things color/condition. Pictures just don’t do it justice. No matter the light.

Agreed. As for the 75th Anniversary, I guess it depends on whether Omega is going to keep introducing those features in future releases - I have noticed that people either love or hate the 75th design, and many thumb their noses at the LMLE because the 8900 is a similar but newer design.

I was at my OB yesterday and they were showing me the PO 75th and the SM300 they have in the store. They confirmed that the 75th models are officially out of production and limited to what is in stock - once they are no longer attainable, it will be interesting to see what the demand will be. They also told me there's been demand for the original blue Worldtimer, but it is no longer available.

Nevertheless, these beauts are staying with me for the long run, regardless of future demand.

Being polarizing is not always a bad thing, especially if Supply is not that large. It only matters if the supply is smaller than the total demand in a case something is highly polarizing. Then you have that sort of backwards effect limited production runs have, things that people normally wouldn't like, like a solid case back or an all blue watch, suddenly become appealing because of the limited nature... people are interesting.
Anyway, thank you for letting me know that production is done, that's a bit crazy.

That's beautiful, definitely strikes me as one of those dials that shows lots of difference depending upon lighting conditions. Thank you for sharing!
