Hi all,

I searched through the forums for a thread dedicated to showing off your seamster 300 on a NATO and all I came up with were a few question & answer threads.

I stopped by the AD today to pick up some 20mm NATOs and slapped this one on ol' faithful to see how she looks. Let me know what you think. My fiancé hates it!

Show us your NATO combinations!

..

I don't think it goes well, tbh.
What other colours did you get?

I don't because for me the G10/NATO is not really a viable choice. I will pick just about anything else by preference.

While I’m waiting to get my bracelet back after the clasp failed. Generic blue rubber NATO that’s 1mm too wide (harvested from a beater I usually wear to the pool). I kinda like how it looks, but am eager to get it back on metal.

I agree! I just wanted something hideous in order to begin the conversation. I also got a black and grey but they were both intended to reside on my Vostok Amphibia.

I love the oversized strap. I am not sure why, but it adds a bit of disorder to such an orderly watch. Its more utilitarian than anything else.

Sorry, that isn’t a Seamaster 300 — this is, and it looks amazing on a NATO!

The Seamaster Pro 300m looks good on one, too.

😉

Won't this watch feel darn top-heavy on a nato?

I’ve always found the watch is more balanced on a NATO or leather strap than a bracelet, because I can make it tighter against my wrist. I have yet to find an Omega bracelet that I can wear tight without my wrist feeling constricted. The consequence of this is the watch flops around and feels MORE unbalanced.

The only exception to this I have ever found is the oyster bracelet on my Rolex Explorer — that I can keep tighter and the watch doesn’t move at all.

But everyone is different.

Agreed on both counts.

I agree. I ended up selling my SMP bracelet because I could not seem to find a comfortable adjustment; even with the micro-adjustment. For the most part, mine resides on the OEM Omega rubber strap and it's very comfortable. Still trying to find the best NATO for this one. I may end up breaking down and buying the Omega NATO 🤦

I like BluShark Premier NATOs … not quite as nice as Omega, but at about 1/3 the price. They have blue, red, and grey striped one that would look great on your watch.

Black and white pic (mine) but it’s the Omega bond NATO with the “keeper” piece removed, making it sit lower on the wrist. Yes, I cut up an Omega nato.

I have often considered doing that, but can’t bring myself to do it on my Omega straps — I do like the keeper with the OMEGA text. Adds some balance to the two keepers on the other side.

I will agree, it would make it thinner. But I saw a banker in Vienna wearing a Spectre on the gray/black NATO with his pin-stripe suite several years ago. If he can rock that, then I can do the same in jeans and a t-shirt!

It wasn’t easy, it was like stepping one foot off a cliff Lol.
But yes, they wear nicely when fully intact as well. I just love the Omega straps, phenomenal quality and feel.
