One I was very close to purchasing, and still debating pulling the trigger on...
It's beautiful and it's a classic. Do it. You know you want to 😉

It is a classic. Never go wrong with this.
I agree. Seeing as it is really good condition and the hour markers haven't patina yet. It is a good buy

Those markers are superluminova, and won't patina much (if at all). I really like my 2531 and agree- do it @WatchClarity !

My 2531.80 is currently at Omega for a full service. Viewing this thread is making me miss it. Such a classic watch. You really can't go wrong with the purchase. Highly recommended. I love mine!

Ooooo, Mr. Casino Royale himself! Always wanted to see this model in person but never have. The applied indices and longer hands are a nice update, while keeping the overall look of the 2531.80.

Plus the Co-Axial movement, and the red 'Seamaster' text! But it's also a little thicker. I've been debating between the two for about 2 years 🤣

Yes indeed. I love how thin my 2531.80 is. Such a touch decision between the two models. You really can’t go wrong with either. I have the 2531.80 and then the SMPc (no-wave). So I missed the Casino Royale model in between. Some prefer it the most! It’s definitely a good mixture between the two.

I've seen it in person, I was interested in getting a 2220.80 but when I tried it on. It just didn't feel like it was the watch for me. So I went with the SMP 300M Diver Summer Blue instead

Gotcha. Always wondered if indeed wore a little thicker on the wrist than its older brother. I remember the coaxial movement adding a bit more thickness. Maybe one day I’ll end up buying one myself to try. Hey you’re in good shape though. Enjoy your 300M Summer Blue!

I've got both the current ceramic and a 2531. It does wear thicker, but the biggest difference is easily the increase to 42 mm and the increased lug to lug of almost 50 mm, an approximate 2 mm increase in total wrist coverage.

I think this is the important Dimension to focus on, because my summer blue shares the same case size and lug to Lug size as the 2531, and despite being taller, wears very, very similarly. It probably helps that the more domed Crystal accounts for most of the height difference.

The 42mm Seamaster wears much larger, despite being, on paper, less tall than the Heritage model. I really do think it is because of the across the wrist size.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily bad, I very much like mine.
