Forgive me if there is already a thread on this..I see the Moonwatch getting a lot of love (as it should do) but would like to pay homage to the Seamaster! Mine is the newer version and I adore the waves. Would love to also buy a blue one but might be a bit much to have two of them. Show us yours! 😀

Great watches and great pictures! The Seamaster family spans so many decades and styles it‘s hard not to get drawn into collecting them if you have an interest in Omega.

They're a fantastic watch, underappreciated & undervalued too at the moment IMO so a good time to buy. It's unusual for none to be for sale in the UK. They're not so scarce of late as they were when I bought mine, I wonder if part of that was the release of the white dial ceramic Seamaster 300 giving further white dial options. Just stay on the search as I'm sure more will be for sale soon enough.

Just got a Seamaster Diver 300M Summer Blue on the rubber strap last week and I'm loving it. This is my first Omega and first post on this forum. A few thoughts and questions after owning this watch for a few days:

- I love how this watch looks and wears on the rubber strap, I think it's the best combination. It's not that I dislike the OEM steel bracelet, I think it's good and complements the watch nicely, but I think the steel mesh bracelet looks even better so I ultimately decided to buy it on the rubber and purchase the mesh later to have a metal bracelet option
- I spent countless visits to ADs and quite some time looking at the summer blue vs the regular blue Seamaster before buying it, but at the end I think the summer blue dial really stands out and looks better in my opinion. However, I would add that the dial reflection gives it a more luxurious feeling compared to the regular Seamaster dials, as a consideration for those who prefer a more tool-watch look
- Other controversial features about this reference model I either like or don't really mind. For me, the skeleton hands look great, and I don't really mind the helium escape valve; I think they both add to the watch's very characteristic looks. The bezel action is great and I find it easy to grip with bare hands, but definitely not quite as good as my Pelagos 39
- I am very afraid to damage the AR coating while wearing it. I usually wear long sleeve shirts or sweaters and am afraid the coating will get damaged by the crystal constantly rubbing the fabrics. In your experience, is this really an issue or is the coating strong enough to withstand this frequent rubbing? I saw older posts about AR coating issues, but haven't seen much recently about it, does anybody know if Omega has improved the coating? or is it still an issue with current models?
