Ask the seller, if he can "invest" time and €€ at the local jeweler before the sale. the you post the results f the TG here 😉
Dear sir,

Sorry to bother you again with another question. You mentioned that I should go with the watch that has the original papers. Why ( is it for purpose to have the watch registered under my name? Is it for guarantee issues?)?
Best regards

No problem, Marc.
If you ever sell the watch (private to private), you avoid "discussions". Esp concerning ROLEX.
Honestly: I bought my tritium-EX 2 from 1996 w/o papers 😉, but by a dealer (and C24).

Dear sur,

Thank you for your speedy reply. I will follow your advice. Usually I dont buy watch online ( chrono24 for instance) unless it is though a professional.

Sometimes its hard to persuade the seller to go somewhere and pay money. They could at least download a free mobilephone app, and do the test themselves.
This one is for free and is in my opinion better than nothing.

TG-control, as mentioned above, even with app, should be made in at least 3 positions of the watch. And then you must trust the seller....

Dear sir,

I understand I will have to trust the seller in the end.
Sorry to ask you this silly question but can you explain me the interest of this test ( for me this rocket science)?

Dear members,

Following your advice I have contacted both seller and asked them the same questions regardingvthe time-grapher test, the links, the condition of the bracelet and the lume on the dual.
So far none of them provided me the time-grapher result. Right now, one of the seller just told me that the tritium is totally discharged. In your opinion do you think it is possible to 'recharge' it or not ( I suspect no )?
Best regards

Just got the call a week ago and picked this up from the AD -- 124270 Explorer 36. So excited to have this modern incarnation of a historic line in the collection, and at the same dimensions as the original.

Dear members,

Good afternoon/ good morning.

I have finally found the explorer I was looking for from 1996 with tritium dial ( still glowing).

Now on the hunt for the new model..
