Hi @Scarecrow Boat . I'm very surprised to see "IV" on a Rolex (or any serious watch.) Do you know if the dial is original to this watch?
Hi, yes the dial is original to the watch.

Upon further Googling, I do see that 1990s Datejust did indeed have IV rather than IIII. Interesting! It's a beautiful watch @Scarecrow Boat !

Brief story: Took my watch off and was happily surprised by the caseback. I had forgotten that it had this cool caseback.



Made me wonder about all the other interesting casebacks and looked for a thread but didn't see ine.

If you have a favorite caseback and would like to share, please do. Even if it's the same as this one, your photography will make it unique.

Sapphire casebacks and movement shots would also be interesting.
