Hello Omegoids, So the JLC bumper that fell out of my safe (and suddenly started working) was obviously a warning to reconsider my motley assortement of boxes that store my watches. The JLC (bottom left) is next on my revision list after another JLC and a poorly Eberhard and Co Chrono I took in today. A quick dabble about on eBay and now I've a nice quality well fitting wooden storage box for the bulk of my current Omega "keepers". ..(the oversize 30T2 still needs a case and a revision) .....Now I am aware the eagle eyed purists amongst you will instantly see all sorts of flaws and incongruities: certain things like good and terrible repaints, or perhaps wrong hands or crowns amongst this lot...This is not the finished article....A few probably won't be here next year. A few, like the Mark II, the Chronostop, the JLC and the SM30 (wrong hands) will probably stay forever. Anyone else feel like showing their Omega box? Remember this is not as something to overly critique, but to enjoy..It's often nice to simply compare sizes of watch faces this way. It'd be nice to see a variety of styles and models rather than a crate load of Moonwatches. I've read here about folk collecting "decades" , collecting movements, collecting models. First pic to include : A Moon watch, a mark II, a Mark III, a Mark IV, Seamaster 321, Chronostop Driver (in pink), A ploprof, an SM300 (or 120), 3 different seamasters, A Flightmaster, A stainless steel Connie, and a Stingray wins.....
Flightmaster! I had one in the 70's. Traded it for a Moonwatch that I still have. Impressive collection
Very cool indeed...Is that a mark 125? A couple there I don't think I even recognise!! What is the one in the bottom left corner with the long stem?
Is the first zenith Prima from 1925 model modified as wristwatch , pimped by the limited series of the strap from the pilot 20 model. Nice watch but difficult to wear due to the stem but nice
Can't quite fit all in the box, so will be selling one or two to make room for a 1980s gold/gold tone speedy. Once I do that I may buy a proper box.
As I'm not solely an Omega collector, I don't have an "Omega Box". I do have my bedside watch box that hold those watches I will choose from at any particular time. Looks something like this ....
@Toishome Updated the pic. Which one does not belong? It's the tin-tin. It gets sold once I get back in October.
Not an "Omega Box" but something ilke this which also contains cufflinks and rings etc The watches inside keep changing regularly, the only fixed one is the Citizen Dive Master that I'd bought new in 1996. The Sub I got this year will stay as well though.
