Not my Alpina, but one a friend stirred up, in Denmark when he visited an elderly retired watchmaker. Alpina 572C automatic, (A Schild calibre 1701), 25-jewels, Dial marked President, steel case. Circa mid-1960s, and had never been worked on until I conditioned it for the owner.

1931 Swiss lever escapement, blue Breguet overcoil.

It looks brand new! Very cool dial. I’m trying to get educated on assessing the case materials, is this silver or a silveroid/silver-nickel case?
