Here is my recent upgrade of watch storage. I don't think I can go back to normal watch cases again.

Overkill? Absolutely!

Can I launch it out a window and not even bat an eye? Absolutely!

What does your storage look like?!

I use a Pelican case for my Hasselblads, I have it sectioned out according to lenses, bodies, backs....

But that you offer a great Proof Of Concept for another Pelican case.

Not my photos but the inspiration for the project- I’m having my Omega Speedy big box/suitcase converted into a watch box. Currently having the insert custom made for me. It will look like below with the exception of grey stitching to complement the stitching on the outside of the suitcase.

Not anywhere as organized as the ones shown above, but there's method to the madness!

from my introduction thread. Looks a slightly neater now that I have sorted through most of it. I think I have about 10 more watches than I did then.
I am actually trying to downsize (honest.) I actually have 5 active listings on eBay. Nothing Omega though. Still attempting to psyche myself up to downsize a couple gold colored seamasters here ...

Of course. They're in a safe. They just grew so fast I didn't have space to decant them to another shelf.

This is a close as I get to a case full of Speedies....

Probably about the same $$$

I had never thought to get a case for these. I like having them displayed on my desk and one of them is my take everywhere camera, but a pelican case like yours is very intriguing!
(a couple lenses/backs not shown)

If I wasn't vexed by dust, the Hasselblads would be out, in all their glory. Instead, its a busted Graflex Speed Graphic that is on display...

The Burke and James Monorail has no curb appeal...
