Got the first gen. SKX781 NOS a few years ago. Serviced last year since oils were probably dry since it's over 15 years old, and now it's running great.

This exquisite timepiece, a truly marvelous mashup of 1993 horological and technological expertise, was a gift from my bride on our wedding day almost 31 years ago. My favorite cartoon (still, and I'm 54) is Foghorn Leghorn. This holds a spot right in the middle of my watch box and will never leave it. It likely cost $20, but is priceless to me . 😀

€75, maybe not cheap for what it is, but I like it for casual occasions like playing with my boys when you don't want to care about your watch all the times.

So this is something I received today that I thought I would share here, it's not about the watch (I've had for a couple of years) but about the strap; obviously I'm using some decent Omega spring bars, and I'll swap out the buckle for something half decent that I have lying around. I just gave it a light clean, and some neutral shea butter based Saphir hydration, and I'm really surprised at how good it actually looks especially for the price point.. What do you guys think?

... Including delivery to the UK within seven days from AliExpress:£3.04 (circa $2.50)

Not exactly my favorite but certainly cheap from a small part of my collection of razors.

Nice case but no straight razors?

Off topic but here are some of my best ones.

Far as cheap mechanical watches go; if that's my choice, I opt for something utilitarian.

This Citizen eco drive is a perpetual calendar, has jumping hour hand “local time” and alarm functions, along with a day-date display and 24 hour time sub dial.

I bought it for $150 at TJ Maxx almost 10 years ago. It’s my earliest watch purchase that is still part of my collection.

I have 3 or 4 low cost beaters I use when doing DIY or just messing around in the workshop. None of them cost any more than a reasonable meal for 2 dining out.
My favourite is probably the "Seatimer" shown in the first picture but I really like the others too

Do you shave with those bad boys?

My bengal and my inexpensive Croton ng
Yes I do!

My grandfather was a barber from nearly 70 years and he taught me how to shave.

I have a full beard right now so I only do touch ups but I love the ritual.

I mostly straight shave, so good. I have a few razors but I get the best shave from my bengal

Just got one of these Timex x Peanuts watches, mostly for my kids. It's basically a Timex Weekender. Does anybody have any thoughts or experiences with these? I like how it looks like Charlie Brown is picking his nose.....
