I posted this in another forum but I'm having a hard time finding actual photos of either of the watches I mentioned. Please share your thoughts on the size, weight, etc., especially if you own or have tried on. Much appreciated!

I picked up a black/black two weeks back. I’ll take some pictures tomorrow - let me know if there any specific pictures you’re looking for.

I’ve owned several SMP300’s and if you’ve worn the 42mm version, you won’t notice much difference wearing this one. It is lighter and the black case seems to make the extra 1.5mm just vanish…

Thank you! I've not owned a Seamaster, though I have gone through 3 different iterations of the Speedmaster and sold them all. I just couldn't mesh with them. Having said that, I'm more of a Rolex guy and wear GMTs and Subs. Does the Seamaster 300m wear overtly or slightly larger? Also, how is the height of the watch compared to the Sub?

I've gone owned 44mm PAMs in the past and I can tell you that it's not a size I'd want to go back to, so if it's anything like that, it's a pass.

How legible do you think the face is? I liked the DSOTM version but it sometimes seems a bit too dramatically dark to read.

Sorry for the delay. Here’s a quick few pics that give a decent representation of the size and legibility (I have a flat 7” wrist).

I've had mine for a few weeks now and I love it. But I am going to be honest about its legibility. It is very legible during daylight, and in complete darkness. It is not at all legible in a dimly lit room. There are situations, particularly in the evening and at night when you are not going to be able to read the time at all. In very dark conditions, e.g. bedroom at night, the lume becomes legible. It's just not a twilight watch.

Last week I visited the Katla volanic glacier in iceland. The volcano is under the glacier and so the glacier is black instead of white from all the volcanic ash. I wore my Omega 300m Black Black and feel that this was the perfect monochromatic setting for the watch. I now call this watch my Omega Katla Black. You be the judge!
