Hi folks. I'm sure this has been covered before, but I'm beginning to research for my next Vintage watch purchase and have decided I would really love an early bumper. I have seen a few lovely ones on here but can't make my mind up on dial/style and don't yet know a whole lot about them as yet. i would love to see your examples with accompanying credentials and maybe you could share a bit of wider wisdom along the way on potential pitfalls, evolution of the calibre's, typical prices etc. Thanks in advance.
Lovely watch, I must admit, I like dagger markers and have been considering one with a sub dial. There's so many styles to choose from. just seen a nice Seamaster with date at 6 o clock which is different, I also like the older watches with an inner minute track, in fact I like most I see!! That's why I want to see some examples on here and learn a bit more about them. Many thanks for sharing.
Here's my reference material for the Chronometre caliber 352. http://omega.watchprosite.com/?show=forumpost&fi=677&pi=3123906&ti=516451&msid=&s= Most of the heavy posters here either have or have had one in their collection. Here's mine: Take care, gatorcpa
Jeez, it's getting bad when my skin makes the gator look young!! Next, some youngin' will want dibs on making straps out of my hide! Man, you will get a bunch of straps outta this hide!
Loving these, some beautiful watches here. Not really helping me narrow down my preferences, I lIke so many of these. Seamaster calendars looks nice, waffle dials in black are very cool, Constellations awesome and I'm quite partial to the vintage styles with inner minute track and sub dials! Keep them coming.
Wow, many lovely vintage Omegas so far! Perhaps a non-Omega bumper for consideration, Stu-silver? Futurematic or 'jumbo' Memovox Both from the 50's, and a little bigger (36, 37mm respectively) than other watches of that era.
