Should I pull the trigger on this Omega Constellation Pie Pan...

1958 Omega Constellation Pie Pan, ref: 2943-2-SC. Movement is Omega 504. It has a rare dial with rose gold indices, hands, and outer ring. Owner claims that it's all original minus, bracelet, acrylic and the seconds hand. Owner claims that dial is all original. What do you guys think? What is a reasonable price for a Constellation Pie Pan in this condition? I'm looking for expert eyes and some guidance. Thanks in advance

Why don’t you tell us the asking price?

No well focused straight on dial photo? Pictures like this are often designed to mask flaws. The minute track looks quite wobbly as well from poor pictures I agree with above redial vote.

Thank you all. That was my suspicion and I wanted more expert eyes on it for confirmation. I really appreciate it!

Just curious, what’s driving the redial diagnosis? The text seems sharp and consistent, no obvious reapplication of indices or logo… what am I missing?

Second track is quite irregular and the pie-pan edges are soft. Blow up the last photo.

OP watch. No “Officially Certified”
Note relationship between Automatic and Chronometer letters. H in Chronometer is lateral to A in Automatic.

Orig example:
Officially Certified present
H in Chronometer is medial to A automatic.
Letter spacing and font clearly different

I don't count myself as a Constellation expert, but what jumped out at me is that the ticks look quite far from the dodecagonal boundary. I would need to look at other examples of the same dial.

I have an example, although not beautiful but can be referenced. Text dial has not yet been officially certified.

Text looks good to me. Others with more knowledge of this reference hopefully will chime in on officially certified issue. So many variations with Omega.

Hi all, my name is Nicolas, I’m very new to the world of vintage watches but I’m looking to start my journey with an Omega Constellation pie pan crosshair. I’m still negotiating the price, but it’s likely to be around USD1300. I’ve noticed this watch comes in a wide range of different variations, and sometimes is tricky to know whether is a good deal or not. This is the watch I’m interested in right now.

The case seems heavily polished, specially on the back. I don’t know how much that affects the value. Any insight from you is really valuable for me! Thanks a lot!!!

Keep an eye on the OF sales section… you’ll be able to find a cleaner example at a better price, for example:

Please start your own threads, Nicolas. It's not a good practice to hijack another thread, it just causes confusion. That watch is crap, BTW.
