Should I? - *Brand New* Aqua Terra Day Date

Hi everyone,

This is my first post on the Omega forums. Thank you, thank you!

I have found a "brand new" unworn Seamaster Aqua Terra Day Date with black dial from a popular online marketplace. Reviews would suggest the Japanese dealer is legit and has a contracted relationship with Omega. I negotiated the price down to $4700 and this watch retails brand new on the Omega website for $7800. I feel like this offer is too good to be true but am also aware the watch has since been discontinued. I've never had a watch with a day-date complication but am a fan of their aesthetics and usefulness. If I pull the trigger, should I immediately get the watch checked/serviced/appraised by an authorized dealer? I live about 20 minutes from one. Not sure how long the Day-Date ATs have been discontinued or how long this watch has been sitting in its box.

For context purposes, I plan on using this watch as my everyday watch (i.e., office, errands, date night). So I ask you, the experts, should I pull the trigger on this watch?

Appreciate any insight or advice!
