From Siagon, "professional repainted (with Swiss ink)"...would have fooled me in the right case....
I hope this guy decides to use his powers for good.

Markings fantastic, a few bobbles in the black on the left (is that within normal Lou?)

Fortunately they had a good dial to start with.

Doesn't matter how nice the printing is if someone has *ucked up the dial in a previous refinish attempt, see that all the time.

Do the "U" and "G" look a little off to anyone?

I had seen this on the bay and thought it was NOS; luckily the seller was honest. Amazingly good.

One of the things that I've always wondered about... but if these were really painted in radium or tritium, they would still be hot, right?--even if they don't glow and the half lives have diminished and all that?

I may have to get one of those surplus geiger counters at some point. Would be pretty cool to know if the lume was real or not on a watch, and if some redialer is going to go to so much effort as to risk radiation sickness to make a replica dial, well then I'm content being fooled on those.

If I had to pick a nit, it is that the subdial numbers are a little too heavily inked.

Thanks Lou...still in the family. Every time I look at it...well you know.

I'm very glad to hear it - I know it must have been hard to hang on to. It is a real Pee-yes Ooneek, as the Swiss say.
