Hi,
Can anyone please kindly advise me whether I should send my 2990-3 to the Omega service center for an overhaul service? Will they replace all the necessary parts?
Anyone has any experience on that please kindly share with me.
Hope to hear from someone soon.

Thank you.

the speedy answer is NO.

they are generally regarded as being UNSYMPATHETIC to vintage watches and will make your VALUABLE speedy into a like new shiny trinket.

If you're willing to give a general idea of where you are in the world, I'm sure someone can provide a recommendation that is at least on the same continent.

Sending the watch back to Omega will not be one of them.

"The speedy answer..." Hah! Good one.
Should you? Probably not. Will they replace all necessary parts? Probably yes.
However as already mentioned, it is probably in your best interest to find someone else who knows how to properly maintain a vintage piece, while servicing it.

Thanks for your speedy reply. : ) I was in Tokyo and it was my first time walking into the service center. After speaking to the receptionist, I could see that CRUEL look from the watchmaker's eyes from a distant. So I left.
