Just bought a new SMP 210.30.42.20.03.001 from a local AD and realized afterward that these share service centers with SGUS for Tissot. I had a bad experience with them for my Tissot. So much so that I’d never use them again. I also see lots of concerning complaints about other folks experiences. Obviously I have 5-8 yrs before I need a service but have I made a mistake or should I spend the next 5yrs searching for a better watchmaker who’s qualified to service my SMP?

I've had good experiences with SGUSA Miami. I've used them several times with no issues. I also have a local independent watchmaker with an Omega parts account who does great work as well. I've been using him for the last two years.

That’s good to hear. I live in Florida and will probably have to use them in a few years to service my Seamaster 300. Does your independent watchmaker handle co-axial movements?

That feels like a lot of work to cram in to just 260 weeks

Won’t be easy, but with enough will and determination, I think it’s doable.

Yes. He's Omega trained and certified like Archer. He's also TAG Heuer trained and certified and has applied for Rolex approval.
