·Here's one I'm almost embarrassed to let go of, because the story of its arrival was so great, but I just can't justify keeping a watch because of its story. This was among a watchmaker's old stuff—without a bezel, and the obvious victim of a serious fall. The biggest issue was that the top dial foot had broken off; it was, eventually, laser-welded back on, and there's a faint discoloration between 7 and 8 minutes, right after the step in the dial, from that work being done. The watch was serviced, and, while the hands were being removed, the chunk of paint on the chrono seconds hand cracked off. I don't think it got a new crown, but the crystal was a disaster, and a new Omega crystal was installed. I ended up with this bezel—which is a correct early 1970s DNN bezel—from a different watchmaker's parts purchase, and obviously a DON bezel is correct, but I don't mind this one.
So that's the background. More basically, this is a very early 145.022-69 (28.4M serial). It's in really excellent shape overall—the case is original and seemingly unpolished, the caseback has some wear, and it's got a dented DNN bezel. I've had it on an undated, almost NOS No 12/1175 bracelet with 640 end links. The step dial's missing some lume at the step, but the lume in the hands matches the dial. The lume in the minute hand is cracked but hasn't been stabilized and hasn't caused me any problems.
The price is $6000; the watch and I are in Indiana/USA. I'm happy to go into further detail or answer any questions, and obviously I'm happy to provide as many references as are requested. Thanks for looking.
