    I've just joined so this is my first post.

    I have an Omega Seamaster 3301 titanium which I purchased in 2007. It had to be returned three times over the next two years to fix an issue. It was gaining/losing too much time.
    I was wondering when I should send it away for its first service taking into account the three times it was back with Omega.
    Thanks for any opinions.

    Two schools:
    1) don't fix what isn't broken;
    2) daily worn mechanical watches need service every 5-7 years.
    I (and many here) disagree with #1.
    Intervals on #2 depend on who you talk to.
    Do a search as service needs and intervals has been discussed before. But my answer for you and your watch is:
    Since it hasn't been serviced in 5 years, if it has been worn daily it is due for service. If it has been worn occasionally in rotation and it is running fine, you can probably go up to 7-8 years between services (another 2-3 years).
    PLEASE NOTE! This is my opinion as a collector and admirer, not as a technician. And opinions will vary. I recommend you do the search, and/or wait for more responses to your thread before making your decision.
