    Hey,

    First: This is my first post but I've been lurking around for a while. What a great forum! A couple of months ago I bought my first watch, a new Speedy Pro, which I really, really enjoy. But I couldn't stop browsing around and so I ended up buying a Seamaster Chrono (105.005) with the 321 movement a couple of days ago.

    The watch hasn't arrived yet but I trust the seller and the watch seems to be running fine. However, I would like to have it serviced to make sure everything is in order. Do you guys know any trustworthy places around Boston? Or is there a good place to which I could be mailing my watch? What price should I expect assuming everything is ok?

    Thank you!

    Wait couple of days as my 105.012-66 is on the way home from Philadelphia. I'll post a full report when she gets here.

    Thank you! I'll look into all these options and will share my experience! My assumption is that a standard service would be around $500 - is that a reasonable guess?

    I've done business with Paul for decades. I never knew his watch-maker serviced cal.321's. Live and learn.

    I read Duggans site differently. He says he doesn't service lesser brands, aka other than Rolex. At any rate, I recommend you find somebody who takes in 321's on a regular basis. If he does a nice job on your 321, let us know. Always looking for new resources.

    Not sure what the site means by "lower grade watches" but I agree someone who is familiar with 321's would be a good idea.

    Saw this photo on his page:

    Hopefully just a staged shot and not what they really do!!

    Hi all;
    I'm in Boston, MA, USA and plan to stop in to Paul Duggan, as suggested here. I'm also bumping this thread to see if people have other recommendations, too. Washington St. in downtown Boston has several jewelers buildings with dozens of options, but it's difficult to really know where to start for vintage and precious (to me) watches. The Omega Boutique recommended that I not open my father's watch, since it was in such good condition, but the more I read here, the more I realize at some point I will need to service it.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    Greg.

    I'm just north of Boston and am interested as well..

    I've heard positive things about USA watches in Dover, NH and the owner claims that he can service 861 and 321 movements (I spoke with him on the phone) but I can't vouch for them as I haven't had a watch serviced there.

    I have done business with Paul Duggan for almost 3 decades. He's the real deal. However I can't speak for his watchmaker as I've never had any issues with anything that I bought from him nor have I needed them for any other repairs.

    I have also done business with European Watch, specifically Ivana. They are also good people. Lately they have been stocking Vintage Speedmasters $$$ ;)
