I have a Seamaster Planet Ocean Co-axial (my avatar).
    I believe it's now a retired style.
It's not my daily watch and only worn occasionally. I guess I never really thought of it but should I (do most people) get it serviced as Omega suggests?
I'm in the New York area and if I do send it for preventative maintenance I'd like to use an official Omega service center.
Any thoughts, recommendations or personal experiences with your watch maintenance and using the Omega repair centers? Thanks.

If you’re asking should you get it serviced, if you wear and use it, then yes. Definitely yes.

If it sits in a watch box permanently, then maybe not. But only maybe not.

Thanks. I'll look into it. I also don't use a permanent winder. It seems some say keep the movement going, others suggest only start it up when you wear it. Obviously I want what's best for my timepiece.

No need to keep a watch moving. Gives no benefit and has been reaffirmed here by very competent watchmakers many times.

I should clarify, running a watch does nothing good for maintenance of a watch. The only benefit is for keeping a watch set for date/time/etc if you remove it intermittently by wearing it in a rotation.
