For sale here is my Serica 5303-3 in blue.

The dial is a deep, dark blue, but the ceramic bezel is the star of show, chameleon-like in its appearance. I’ve tried to capture it as best as I can, but I’d encourage you to visit the Serica website for an even better series of images.

The bezel also has the most pleasing action I’ve ever experienced on a dive watch - and I’ve owned a few of them.

Overall, his is a phenomenal timepiece that punches way above its weight class, and I’ve enjoyed every minute with it. The fit and finish is such that it looks right at home in my watchbox next to pieces that cost thousands more.

Currently, this watch sold out and on back order, and not shipping until well into the summer, so here is a good chance to skip the line and buy one in outstanding worn condition.

These Soprod movements can be quirky. Besides occasionally taking an extra second for the sweep hand to stop when hacked, mine has not exhibited the issues that some of the Soprod movements seem to have. The movement is very accurate and runs well within chronometer specs.

I’m asking $1250 USD and we can split the shipping costs.

Face-to-face meetups, as always, are more than welcome in the Greater Toronto Area.

Please feel free to connect with any questions or for additional pics or videos.

Hmmm… after a buyer reached out to ask about the crown issues, I’ve done some testing… trying to set and hack the movement multiple times, over and over again.

What I’m seeing is that occasionally the crown needs an extra bit of force to hack. Happens maybe 1 out of ever four or five times, I’d say?

A couple of times (out of maybe 20 or so) that I had to make that extra pull, the minute hand did move… a couple minutes forward. It seems to happen rarely, but it does happen.

I’ve worn this one in rotation of a dozen or so watches since receiving it and hadn’t yet noticed any of these quirks, but I’m sort of a grab, set and go watch-wearer.

To me, it’s completely livable and not a big deal… especially given how accurate the movement has been when wearing it… but I can see how it would really bother some.

I’ll leave the listing up, but am happy to provide any prospective buyers with a video demo upon request.

I’ve got a 5303 that behaves exactly like you describe. I can also confirm that it is a non-issue for me as well. The watch is incredibly well-built and balanced, and stays +-2sec/day. The bracelet is the most comfortable in my collection. Good luck with your sale.

I think @SC1 has one that behaves like this too. I believe he stated Serica claims this is a quirk of the movement

Yes, mine does -- and yes, Serica does claim this.

@R3D9 your transparency is applauded given that this is a For Sale listing.

Thanks gentlemen. I would never want to be surprised about something I purchased and sure wouldn’t want someone buying a watch from me to be surprised either.

Quick reminder…. the Patek 5711 didn’t hack at all till 2019 😉

This one hacks 95% of the time and I’ll bet runs more accurately.

This should be Serica’s sales slogan:
Hacks 95% more than Patek.
