That is the problem with text media. To your point, it is now significantly more expense to sell all those 5711鈥檚 we have laying around. . Cheers.

Good day all, I'm considering using chrono4 as a sales platform, I would like to ask this question to experienced users of the site. Is the PayPal fee of 3.5 percent paid for by the buyer, and 6.5% commission paid for by the seller? Or do both parties get nailed?

There is no PayPal fees as chrono24 has their own escrow payment system. You pay the 6.5 percent and the buyer pays agreed price only. One fee.

Regardless of the platform, PayPal takes their fee from the recipient.

Chrono24. You can pay by credit card, bank transfer etc so why incur PayPal fees.

As a repeated warning to buyers: if you place you money into escrow and the seller does not ship, you will only get your money back when the seller cancels the deal. Hypothetically, if the seller died and never responded to emails, there is no mechanism by C24 to give you your money back. C24 does not adjudicate disputes in any way...EBAY does. In my scenario, if you paid with a bank transfer, your money would sit in escrow forever. USE CREDIT CARD TO PAY.

Beware. Simple put a chrono24 BUYER has right to return regardless of reason (i.e. too small, not right color, etc.). This places the SELLER at risk IF the returned item has been tampered or marked in any way while the item was in prospective BUYER's possession. The cost to SELLER to have watch checked by AD or other reputable source and then to challenge chrono24 is something you should consider before listing on chrono24. I speak from experience.

This is not true to my knowledge when you sell as Private individual. It is true for the Professional dealers. As which one did you list it?

The last transaction I did with a Private seller in C24 clearly stated that there was no standard refund/return right. Although this happened approx a year ago so this could have changed.

It was some time ago, but I believe it was offered as a Private Seller (I did at a time list as a Professional Dealer). Nonetheless chrono24 accepted "too small" as a reason for a return. Please. Is that a valid reason? Watch was an OP 36mm.
