·I've been in a major Omega mood lately, so it's time to clean out a couple I'm not wearing enough. Here we have the lovely Seiko SPB213 (aka SBDC139, aka SPB213J1), one of Seiko's recent spate of 62MAS re-issues and self-tributes. I truly love this watch, but there's only so much room in the watch drawer...
I am the original owner, having bought it brand new from Gnomon in June of this year for $1200 all-in. I wore it on the bracelet for exactly one day before deciding it wasn't for me, and from then on I wore it on nylon NATO's.
The watch is running within Seiko's specs for the 6R35 movement, -15 to +25 spd. Hardly what you'd call chronometer specs, but this one's been stable as a slight loser when worn 24/7 on my wrist. Of course, your own wearing habits and patterns could see a different result.
I took the watch on my summer vacation, which you can read about here if you like to read blog articles about watches and travel. There are lots of pictures of it there as well as my impressions of the watch. I've worn it about 3 months total in addition to that trip, so it doesn't have a ton of use and wear on it. Still, it is a used watch and not in mint condition. My pictures below were all taken today by my kiddo on a very fancy camera. Much better than my usual postings!
Minor faults that I can see include bezel dings at 52 and 23. There are a few even more minor scratches and dings from everyday use on the lugs. That's about all I can see, but again, not listing this watch as anything close to "mint."
Perhaps my favorite feature of the watch is the bezel, which appears steely blue in some light and black in others. Reminds me of the mood ring I had as a kid, except this bezel doesn't turn red. 😀 I have the box and everything the watch came with from Gnomon. My asking price is $825 USD by PayPal, to include USPS Priority Mail shipping in the domestic US, PayPal fees, and Parcel Pro insurance. If you make an offer below that, we can negotiate what's included in the price. I'll ship the watch on a black nylon NATO from Phoenix (the best, IMHO) just to keep it secure in the box.
Since I am a collector and not a dealer, I won't accept returns unless the watch arrives in some state other than what's described here. I've described it honestly, and if you've ever gotten a watch that was insured by Parcel Pro, you'll know their packing requirements are stringent. I am a reasonable person and I treat people how I like to be treated. I'll ship as soon as humanly possible and stay in touch during the process. I have a ton of references, including here on OF, on WUS, and on MWR. And 100% positive on eBay if that's meaningful to you.
Here are some specs for the watch:
Diameter: 40.5 mm
Length: 47.8 mm
Height: 13.9 mm (I can tell you it wears much more slimly than that number would seem to indicate)
WR: 200 m
Crystal: Sapphire
Accuracy: -15 / +25 sec/day according to Seiko.
Warranty: 3 years
Drop me a PM with any questions, and thanks for reading!
