real grail should be the 5718 imo
Not worn this one very much lately , but it's more of a summer watch to me so but it might see more daylight very soon .
That's pretty slick looking.
Well after many years I’ve acquired a Pepsi diver . I’ve been wanting the rubber strap version and herd that the Japanese market ones have the day in Kanji eg Japanese. So thought that would be a bit more authentic that our European ones with English & French days . Still hinting for one but picked this Arabic one to add to my growing Seiko family . I look forward to years of enjoyment .
That’s a Japanese made one. It’s a myth they all have Kanji/English if J models.
Funny Most US market ones either K or J models have Spanish/English day wheels. I’ve never seen a French/English one.
Mine on a custom 1 piece strap with matching stitching.
I’ve seen the Spanish/English ones and I have seen a Japanese/English one , hence my quest . Like all Seiko divers great value and robust . I get your point about made in Japan but sold there is the quest . I know I could get on a plane Go well and wear yours on good health . Nice strap
Here my greydawn with English/French days
There is an American seller that you can specify a kanji wheel with on a J model if they have them in stock.
It’s worth emailing them and getting on a list.
cheers thanks for the heads up
I’m hoping my next one is a 6105 . I will know tomorrow hopefully
New watch , I bought the SNE439p diver for a trip to SE Asia it was cheap as chips and I had a similar Pepsi diver when I was a lad in the early 80’s , I put my Rubber Nato on it from yellowdog watch straps
A 7005 I just polished up for my Wife , it had a great bracelet and a lovely faceted Crystal that came up great with a bit of polywatch
Not the full set 6105 that was for sale over on SCWF
It’s Cusion says Hi ! Only got mine this week to
No it’s up for grabs at my local auction house fingers crossed
Good luck with the auction.
I picked up these two yesterday... they’re in transit, so these are the seller’s pics... I’d be interested to hear other’s opinions as both dial variants seem to be fairly rare, as far as I can tell.
This one is pretty cool... it’s got a very 62MAS-like dial with almost an MM300 case... 38.5mm case and 18mm lugs. The bracelet is a non-seiko vintage bracelet that I think works with the overall package.
Next up is this Sportsmatic calendar... 37.5mm case and 19mm lugs... I love the dial... reminiscent of a Polerouter but with a more Seiko-like casual vibe. The crosshairs dial sealed it for me
Overall very excited for these two to arrive next week
Nice choice !
Here's my 6309-7049 that I bought new in '78 in London, Ontario. It features EN/FR for the Canadian market.
list out on 6105 buy a fiver . I knew I bid to low . That’s what you get with absentee bids . But I did get the Seiko bellmaster
