A very nice chronograph. I wonder if it has a running second hand or only chronograph seconds?

Just arrived today. 6139-7012 Iceberg from 1972
They're so amazing watches. I hope Seiko bring them back after 62MAS craze subsides in Japan...

Chronograph only so far as I understand but I think some people simply leave them to run all the time

The only Seiko I own. Got it for free because the previous owner didn’t want to spend the money to fix it. I put in a movement that cost me $6.00, put a bracelet on it, and I only wear it camping, which we will do, next week. I bought a 5 pound box of these bracelets on a silent auction table, at an NAWCC mart, for $20.00! Reliable, accurate, cheap. Collectible? No!

‘Retained’ when I left the Mob in 2000.
Issued to me in 1984 and worn for the remainder of my service.
Keeps great time, rarely worn now but kept as it’s been with me through thick and thin
Useless Dive watch (in fact all ‘dive’ watches are useless) but useful as dive supervisor.
Occasionally will wear it when I feel nostalgic and treated it to a new NATO strap a few years ago
