I am selling my Seiko Navigator Timer 6117-8000. The watch is a Seiko classic, the most iconic an sought after version of the second generation of Seiko GMT watches. If you would like to read up on some of its history, this article by Fratello is a good starting point: https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-seiko-navigator-timer/ The Watch Case: The case is fantastic, no serious scratches. Edges are sharp, I assume this watch is unpolished. Bezel: The bezel has some marks on the paint, but is fine overall. Turns smoothly and is kept tightly in place by friction (as it is supposed to be). Crystal: Great condition, no marks visible Dial & Hands: The sunburst dial is stunning, the hands have kept their original lume. The lume of the hour hand has darkened a little due to wabisabi, but nothing serious. Movement: Running great, has had a recent service (see below). Strap: The watch is sold head-only, the tropic strap depicted is NOT part of the sale. Misc: The watch has had a full service from a respected watchmaker in early 2018, the service document is included in the sale. Price: I am asking USD 945,- / EUR 830,- / GBP 745,- / AUD 1345,- net to my bank account. I use Transferwise, so optionally, you will be able to make low cost international transfers as well. Paypal F&F is to be discussed. Why am I selling: One in, one out, and this one drew the short straw Terms: My price is for the watch only, shipping and insurance will be added and can be discussed with the buyer (the watch is located in Germany). Face to face is always welcome! I am selling this piece from my private collection as a private collector. I do not provide a warranty of any sort and will not accept returns unless the watch was grossly misrepresented by me. This is my first sales post here on OF. However, I have plenty of positive feedback on a popular German forum where I can provide references. I have also had two deals here on OF with two well-known forum members, who have both met me in person: https://omegaforums.net/threads/timestamp-is-an-absolute-gentleman.91370/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/timestamp-is-a-great-seller.55820/ In addition, I am happy to be contacted via uhrforum.de, linked.in, or my eBay account to provide some security regarding my identity. Finally... the pictures! // edit: Manufacturing date is September 1969, here is the missing picture of the caseback:
I have no idea why I didn't include a caseback picture, sorry about that! Production date is September 1969 (996xxx). I will provide a caseback picture once I'm home (tomorrow probably).
